Ever seen an inflatable dinosaur swing a bat? How about an inflatable kangaroo? Or a hot dog try to scoop up a grounder and throw to first?
All of those things, and more, will be present at the spookiest, and certainly kookiest, whiffle ball game in Farmville returns when the Spooky Slugfest returns on Thursday, October 24 at 6 p.m.
The Spooky Slugfest is the annual costumed scrimmage for Longwood baseball through a partnership with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), with plenty of fun activities for the youth of Farmville.
The event is free to any and all, and it starts at 6 p.m. at the Lancer Softball Field. This year, both the baseball and softball teams will toss on a costume and play a scrimmage before inviting the kids in attendance to trick or treat on the field.
Every Longwood sports team will have a spot on the field with games and candy for kids to enjoy.
The Amish Traditions food truck will be present with plenty of delicious options available for purchase.
