Lancer Card - ID Photo
All Longwood University students, faculty and staff are required to have a Lancer Card.
Your Lancer Card is used for the following:
- Building access
- Meal plan and Lancer CA$H transactions
- Athletic events
- Virtual ID
Submit Your Photo
- Log in using your LancerNet ID and password (Activate your LancerNet ID)
- Select the "Upload Your Photo" option on the menu
- Agree to Terms
- Choose your ID type and upload an image of a government-issued ID
- Enter your Longwood email and select a selfie that meets the requirements listed below
- Upload your photo, and we will get to work on making your ID card
If you click "upload" and nothing happens, then the photo is too large or not a jpg. Try resizing and resubmitting.

Photo Review Process
Photo submissions are reviewed manually and can take up to two business days to be processed.
You will receive an email letting you know whether your photo was accepted or rejected.
- If your photo is rejected, please correct any issues and resubmit or choose a different photo.
- If your photo cannot be used or you do not meet the deadline, Lancer Card Services can take your photo when you're on campus.
Pick up your Lancer Card
Your Lancer Card will be available for pick up when you​ visit campus for Orientation this summer. Just be sure to submit your photo at least two days before your scheduled Orientation session. Cards not picked up during Orientation can be picked up when you arrive to campus in August.
You'll need to present a valid photo ID to pick up your Lancer Card.
Valid forms of ID:
- State driver's license
- State-issued identification card
- Military-issued identification card
- Valid U.S. or foreign-issued passport (showing country of origin)
- Permanent Resident Alien Card
- Certificate of U.S. Naturalization
